I wasn’t sure about khaki. I’ve never been a big fan to be honest, it makes me think of safaris and Top Gun and they’re not typically vibes I think about channelling when I get dressed in the morning. However, this spring it’s been all over everywhere so I’m being forced to rethink my opinion on it and you know what? I actually really like it. It’s such a casual colour that you could wear a really slinky dress and it would be appropriate for all occasions, and while it’s clearly going to suit the olive skinned, dark haired ones among us I actually think it’s quite a good colour for my fellow pale blondies.

Here are a few of my favourites from the high street, my favourite potentially being the Miss Selfridge sleeveless jacket. Jackets like this are everywhere right now (I really want a white one) and this combines the trend in something that’ll be really easy to wear – it’d look cute over a black jersey pencil skirt and with heels. The ASOS skirt is also gorgeous and I really like how they’ve styled it with the crop top and heels. The skort is definitely something that seems to be here to stay, and if you have the legs for it this Topshop offering would look fab with chunky black ankle boots and a fine-knit black polo neck. The court shoes are so versatile – I’m picturing them with cut off skinnies and an oversized white shirt. The New Look necklace is great; everyone needs a few statement necklaces in their wardrobe to dress up any outfit. And finally the Wal G dress which I want and need – it’s a crazy flattering shape if you put your weight on around your middle like me, and would be easy to dress up or down. I’d wear it with white court shoes and the aforementioned white sleeveless jacket that I have on my mental wishlist.
