Here we have my top picks of party dresses. I’ve done all the hard work for you – it’s not easy browsing countless clothing websites, shortlisting all the prettiest dresses, I’ll have you know. I know lots of you will have had your Christmas parties already, but hey, New Year’s still to come right? And I know you’ll all have packed social calendars for that. Personally, I have a couple of dates with men called Ben and Jerry – very excited.
Anyway, the above dresses. Sparkles, velvet, full skirts and options for all budgets – what more could you need? The Topshop one is my absolute favourite – it’s a gorgeous cut, is covered in sequins and is just so luxurious. Come on Santa, you know you want to. The Karen Millen is also ridiculously stunning, and if you’re rich (or careless) definitely go for that, because I guarantee you’ll be able to wear it next Christmas too. The New Look offering I’m genuinely really impressed by – it’s an online exclusive and you can download a little booklet showing you 15 different ways to style the upper section – it’s not cheap but there are so many ways to wear it it’s a bargain really. Honestly. As for the curvy girls option, I originally had a lacy, chiffon option which was pretty, but just not very party-like. Then I saw this beauty – imagine it with massive wavy hair and lashings of eyeliner and mascara. Gorgeous. I really love the George at Asda velvet and chiffon dress – it looks so much more expensive than it is, and paired with a studded belt and little pointy court shoes it would look fab. The shiny Miss Selfridge dress is something a little bit different and would be great in the Spring too, and finally, how good is that LBD? Oasis is brilliant for dresses, one of my favourite shops, and this dress is just perfect. It’s cut beautifully, is dressy enough to wear as it is but simple enough to accessorise, and it’s sexy (it has a low back) while still being classy. Love. Need.
